"Blessed are the Peacemakers..."
Nov. 16, 2008
To all members of the Metro Area Graffiti Task Force of Denver,
The Executive Board of MAGTF would like to express our deepest condolences to the City of Aurora and the family of Code Enforcement Officer Rodney Morales. MAGTF will be making a donation to the Rodney Morales Memorial Fund in hopes that it may assist in some way to bring not only closure but some sense of understanding as to why this tragedy occurred.
Code Enforcement Officers have been an integral part of the MAGTF family since it's inception in 2006. We have long been a proponent of the thankless and dangerous job our Code Enforcement Officers in the Denver Metropolitan area do and would like to reach out to those members who knew Rodney and worked with him. It goes without saying that by the profession he chose, both in New York and Colorado, Rodney was a special individual with a deep sense of caring and commitment to his community.
MAGTF has constructed this memorial page and we will dedicate a special session of the Denver Gang Summit in 2009.
We cannot express our sadness and shock at this tragedy enough, and hope that as a community we can honor Rodney in our daily lives by continuing the work we do in his memory.
Sincerely,
Officer J. Pearson, Director of Operations
